The Nail Files

I seem to only be able to write on Fridays. Oh well. I'll have to work on that.
Linking up again with Tara & Vicki.

Tomorrow I'm going to a Columbus Crew game followed by a Flogging Molly concert and then drinks and probably dancing. A very busy night!! I did my nails to go with the grey leopard tank top I'll be wearing.

I haven't been to a Crew game in like 5 years, very super excited!!

My husband introduced me to this band. We've been trying to see them together for 4 years. He saw them in Toronto last fall but someone had to watch the kids... So I'm really excited for this concert. The awesome part, it's a free concert after the Crew game!!

We are traveling back to Columbus this weekend for the game. We have a lot of travel ahead of us this summer. With the game, 3 weddings and Pride! It's going to be a great summer! The other great thing about this summer... I'm not pregnant and I'm finally starting to lose the baby weight!! 11 lbs down. Woohoo!!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!

The Nail Files

Linking up with Tara & Vicki today for the Nail Files.

I saw a picture on Pinterest that inspired me. I can't figure out how to add it to my page. Go here if you want to see the original. I need to practice hearts. This was a pain in the butt!

I used nap time to paint my nails and now the boys are up, gotta go! Can't wait to see your nails!!

The Nail Files 5/11/2012

I'm linking up with Tara and Vicki for The Nail Files!

Today I'm wearing Coral Reef by Sally Hansen.

I think the color is gorgeous!! I bought it at Target on our way home from Columbus. The only problem I had with this polish is that it was really thick. I had trouble with streaking and air bubbles. I had to take the polish off and redo my nails. Love the color hate the consistency. I'm out of my Essie Good to Go which usually fixes my problems with air bubbles.

The color has more orange in it than what's showing up in the pictures. It really is pretty.

Go link up so I can see what you're wearing on your nails!!

Happy Tuesday

I've been missing. I'm sorry. There's been a lot of nothing going on and nothing to say either. Until our weekend to Columbus. We got to celebrate Oliver's birthday with family and a few friends.  We had so much fun!!
Here is Oliver enjoying his free birthday breakfast at First Watch. He really enjoyed his french toast. We love First Watch sooo much!!

We spent the afternoon at the zoo. Columbus has the best zoo! Here he is sliding down a hammerhead shark statue. Wee!

Oliver had his first ride on the carousel. He was excited at first, scared in the middle, and very happy at the end!

My bestie a.k.a. Uncle Charlie came to the zoo and dinner to celebrate.

He loved the zoo. This year's trip was so much more fun because he was so excited about everything.

Now we are home and settling back into our routine. We have been working with Oliver to improve his communication skills. He is beginning to respond! We are seeing a lot more signing and a lot less frustration-induced tantrums. He has also started using ma-ma-ma and da-da-da again. I am thrilled. He has been going to a "Play with Words" group which is a playgroup led by speech & language therapist. We are 3 sessions in and seeing improvements every week.

This week will be wonderful! The weather is gorgeous, 67 and sunny. It's amazing. The windows are open and the sun is shining. This weekend I am having dinner with Kate. Girls' Night Out. It's a belated birthday dinner. I'm not sure where we are going, but I'm thinking I want to go the Keg. Super yummy steakhouse for special occasions. We may do some shopping or a movie.

On a personal note, I have lost 6 pounds. I am feeling very motivated and hopefully this will continue! The first several months after I had Tyler I had a lot of back problems and not able to do much physical activity. So, finally over the last 2 months I've been slowly getting myself together; portion control, more active, and now I'm exercising. It does feel great to be active with my kids! Last summer I was super pregnant and the summer before I was recovering from Oliver's c-section. So, it feels nice to be getting back to normal.

have a great day!!
